Věra Mikušová from CZ.NIC heads the Steering Committee of the international organization TF-CSIRT
[Press Release]The TF-CSIRT organization brings together not only security teams that deal with cyber security incidents (CERT, CSIRT), but also other entities operating in the field of cyber security.
After two years on the Steering Committee of the international organization TF-CSIRT, CZ.NIC’s security analyst and security and legislative cooperation specialist, Věra Mikušová, was elected its chair.
The TF-CSIRT organization brings together not only security teams that deal with cyber security incidents (CERT, CSIRT), but also other entities operating in the field of cyber security (SOC, ISAC, or PSIRT). TF-CSIRT strives to foster an environment of trust and cooperation within the cyber security community and advance the field. Although it primarily focuses on Europe, its activities also strengthen the global network of teams with similar focuses.
“TF-CSIRT is an organization built on trust, cooperation, and enthusiasm for this field among its individual members. Not only are TF-CSIRT members knowledgeable experts, but they are also people with strong values, ethics, and morals. I perceive my election as chair of this kind of organization as a sign of trust in not only the CZ.NIC Association and my colleagues’ long-standing work at CSIRT.CZ, but also in me personally. It is honestly one of the greatest honors of my career so far. I would like to thank everyone who voted for me,” said Věra Mikušová.
Věra Mikušová’s election marks yet another triumph for the CZ.NIC Association and the CSIRT.CZ security team, which is run by the Czech national domain administrator. Past members of the Steering Committee include Zuzana Duračinská, and Petra Raszková, a former CZ.NIC security analyst, is one of its current members.
More information about the activities of TF-CSIRT can be found in a recently published article (Czech only) on the CZ.NIC Association blog.
