The Association and its Governing Bodies
CZ.NIC is an association founded in 1998 that administers the Czech national domain .CZ. It contributes to the security and stability of the Internet infrastructure, among other things through technologies such as DNSSEC and the activities of the CSIRT team.
About the association
The CZ.NIC association of legal entities was founded in 1998 by leading Internet service providers. The association's main activities include:
operating the registry of domain names registered under the .CZ domain
ensuring the operation of the .CZ top-level domain
raising awareness in the field of domain names

Other activities
At present, the association is actively engaged in deployment of DNSSEC technology, MojeID service, development of domain administration systems, support of new technologies and projects that benefit the Internet infrastructure in the Czech Republic.
The association also operates its internal security team, CZ.NIC-CSIRT, and has been operating the National CSIRT Team of the Czech Republic since 2011 - CSIRT.CZ . In 2013 CZ.NIC was one of the founding members of the FENIX security project. CZ.NIC is a member of EURid, the registry managing the European .EU domain, as well as other international organizations with a similar focus, including CENTR, ccNSO, and others.
Security
CZ.NIC protects the confidentiality of its assets against unauthorized disclosure and implements its information security policy in a consistent, systematic, and cost-effective manner. In 2013, the administrator of the Czech national domain obtained the internationally recognized Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification in accordance with the ISO 27001 standard.

The General Meeting is the highest governing body of the association. Other governing bodies of the association are the College, the Board of Directors, and the Supervisory Board.
