World-Class Internet Engineers Are Coming To Prague. CZ.NIC Association To Host ICANN Policy Forum
One of ICANN’s most important events will return to the Czech Republic after thirteen years, and will once again be hosted by CZ.NIC.
Executives of CANN, the main global institution for the allocation and management of top-level domains and IP addresses, announced today in Kigali, Rwanda, that the next ICANN Policy Forum will be held next June in Prague. One of ICANN’s most important events will return to the Czech Republic after thirteen years, and will once again be hosted by CZ.NIC.
“We are very pleased that ICANN has decided to return to Prague after thirteen years and will be delighted to host such an important event. It is an honor for us to be part of this major community meeting attended by around eight hundred Internet specialists from all over the world and a reward for the work our Association does for the international community,” said Ondřej Filip, CEO of CZ.NIC.
ICANN conferences bring about very important decisions. ICANN holds three such meetings a year, each time in a different part of the world. The selection of venues is made by a special committee and finally decided by ICANN's Board of Directors.
