Knot DNS software was deployed on B-Root root DNS servers
After the K-Root (operator RIPE NCC) and L-Root (operator ICANN) root DNS servers, the Knot DNS software developed by the CZ.NIC Association has now been deployed also on the B-Root servers.
After the K-Root (operator RIPE NCC) and L-Root (operator ICANN) root DNS servers, the Knot DNS software developed by the CZ.NIC Association has now been deployed also on the B-Root servers (operator USC ISI).
A set of root servers that act under a single letter (a pair of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses) is built from different software implementations to ensure operational reliability. Deploying Knot DNS on B-Root servers has increased not only the diversity, but also significantly reduced the utilization of physical servers.
