The CZ.NIC Association held its General Assembly

The CZ.NIC Association, administrator of the national CZ domain, would like to announce the results of its first General Assembly, which took place without the direct physical participation of the members of the Association.

The CZ.NIC Association, administrator of the national CZ domain, would like to announce the results of its first General Assembly, which took place without the direct physical participation of the members of the Association. Voting about documents, which were presented by the Board of Directors to the members of the Association, took place via the Internet. Members of the Association voted on the final accounts for 2005, the economic result and the annual report.

Final accounts for 2005
The General Assembly of the CZ.NIC Association approved the final accounts for 2005. The basis for voting was a report on the activities of the Board of Directors for the period 20. 2.–6. 6. 2006, fulfilment of the budget for 2005, profit and loss statement, the balance sheet and report by the Supervisory Board.

Economic result for 2005
In 2005, the CZ.NIC Association achieved a level of profit after taxation of CZK 32,610 million. The General Assembly approved that fact that profit for 2005 will be used to reimburse loss from past years at the level of CZK 1,613 million and the remaining amount at the level of CZK 30,997 million will be retained as undistributed profit.

Annual report for 2005
The General Assembly of the CZ.NIC Association approved the annual report submitted by the Board of Directors to the Association.

“I am pleased that the General Assembly approved all documents submitted by the Board of Directors for voting without any problems. This is testament to the development of the CZ.NIC Association in the right direction,” says Ondřej Filip, Director of the CZ.NIC Association. “Thanks to cost savings we managed to achieve a profit despite the fact that the annual maintenance fee for CZ domains was repeatedly decreased. In the coming period we will mainly be dedicating our work towards the development of a new system for administration of the domain, which will mean significant improvement in the services provided and allow for us to continue to decrease the fee for holding of CZ domains, as well as introduction of the ENUM system for free calling over the Internet.”
