The firm of GENERAL REGISTRY has become a further registrar of ENUM domains
The CZ.NIC Association, the administrator of the national domain CZ, announces that the firm of GENERAL REGISTRY s.r.o. has become a further registrar of ENUM domains.
The CZ.NIC Association, the administrator of the national domain CZ, announces that the firm of GENERAL REGISTRY s.r.o. has become a further registrar of ENUM domains. The CZ.NIC Association has thus expanded by a further 44th member, which is the firm of Dragon Internet, a.s.
All the documents necessary to become a registrar of ENUM domains have been available for downloading since the beginning of July this year on the website of the CZ.NIC Association (http://enum.nic.cz). Agreements on ENUM domain registrations have so far been concluded with CZ.NIC by the firms of KRAXNET, IGNUM, IPEX and now also GENERAL REGISTRY.
"In the very short period of time since the launching the test operation and registration of domains of the ENUM system we have acquired a further registrar of ENUM domains," said Ondřej Filip, Director of the CZ.NIC Association. "This shows how easy it is to meet the simple conditions, become a registrar and begin registering ENUM domains."

The firm of Dragon Internet, an affiliate of the firm of Dragon Electric, is now the youngest member, of the CZ.NIC Association – the 44th.
About ENUM
The ENUM system combines the advantages of ordinary and IP telephony and enables users of any telephone number to register a special Internet domain for this number with information on how to call this number through the Internet. It is then possible to phone numbers with an ENUM domain free of charge regardless of the network of which telephone operator the number is situated in (including foreign networks). In the Czech Republic the ENUM system is introduced and administered by the CZ.NIC Association, which on 20 September 2006 launched the test operation of the ENUM system and the registration of ENUM domains.
