A new era of the Turris Omnia project with Patrick Zandl as head of the development team

The CZ.NIC association thus obtained a figure whose aim will be to push the Turris project a bit further. In CZ.NIC, Patrick Zandl will be in charge of the development of the Turris Omnia router, which is also the cause of expansion of the current team.

The team developing the open source router Turris Omnia, which have become a success both on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform and in retail sales, is getting a second wind. Yesterday, the wheel of this flagship of the CZ.NIC Association was taken by an experienced and respected Internet expert Patrick Zandl. The Czech national domain administrator thus obtained a figure whose aim will be to push the Turris project a bit further. In CZ.NIC, Patrick Zandl will be in charge of the development of the Turris Omnia router, which is also the cause of expansion of the current team.

“During the nearly four years of its existence, the Turris project went through several phases. I dare say that with the arrival of Patrick Zandl, a new era has begun. Patrick should contribute primarily to the further development of the Turris project and the Turris Omnia router. We also expect that he will lead the current team with a clear vision and take care of its expansion, if needed. Patrick is a distinctive personality of the Czech internet community. I believe he will soon become the same for the community around the Turris project,” added Ondřej Filip, the CEO of CZ.NIC.
