The successful open source router Turris Omnia moves from Indiegogo on to e-shops
Today, CZ.NIC Association, the Czech national domain administrator, has completed the production of the Turris Omnia devices purchased during the crowdfunding campaign. Preparations for the launch of commercial sales have begun.
Distribution of the secure European router Turris Omnia continues according to plan. Last routers intended for those who ordered Turris Omnia in the Indiegogo campaign have already been produced. Currently, the CZ.NIC Youtube channel is being updated with instructional videos helping customers easily modify the router or adjust it for a variety of advanced applications. On Tuesday, November 1, the campaign on indiegogo.com will be officially ended and Turris Omnia will become available for purchase only at selected e-shops. Commercial sales will focus primarily on Europe, so customers from other parts of the world have the last few days to order this unique router on indiegogo.com. Turris Omnia is already available for pre-order in the European e-retail chain Alza or on the Discomp.
How to use Turris Omnia to the fullest
The Turris Omnia router owners are acclaiming it in social media, but perhaps they are still unaware of what their new router is capable of. Putting the router into operation, installing the LTE extension or an mSATA drive are the first topics covered by step-by-step tutorials on the CZ.NIC Youtube channel. With these and other video tutorials to be added to the channel in the future, anyone can learn how to use their Turris Omnia to the fullest.
Pricing and Availability
