Changes in Conditions of domain name registration and the mojeID service

Mid-May will bring changes to the Conditions of registration of .cz domain names and ENUM domain names as well as Conditions of the mojeID service for end users. The changes respond to the amendment on Consumer Protection.

Mid-May will bring changes to the Conditions of registration of .cz domain names and ENUM domain names as well as Conditions of the mojeID service for end user. The changes respond to the amendment to the Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection.

All the Conditions respond to the amendment to Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, under which the entrepreneur selling products or providing services is obliged to inform consumers about the ADR entity relevant for the type of the services/sold (offered, provided, mediated) products, including web addresses of such entity. This information can be found in the mojeID Conditions for End Users, clause 11.2. and the Conditions of .cz and ENUM Domain Name Registration, clause 23.2.

In the mojeID Conditions, we are adding a new validation method by means of a data box. It is important, however, that the contact data to be verified (validated) are consistent with the data of the data message sender, and the person of the sender is a person authorized under the Act on Electronic acts and authorized document conversion (not a charged person or the administrator). Therefore it is necessary that the sender has requested (allowed) including their identification in the data messages they send. This is not necessary if an electronically signed application is sent using the data box – in such case it can be sent from any data box by any person. The electronic signature is decisive.

Minor adjustments were also made to the document mojeID Service Terms of Use governing logging in to systems of providers, which concern the providers. The only change here is the name of the document mentioned in the clause 2.6.: Technical Conditions of Operation was changed to Technical Documentation for Implementation of the mojeID Service.
