Prague, February 1, 2016 – Computer passwords, the risks of using public computers, Internet history, and nine other interesting topics now can be found in a comic book, which under a free license complemented the CZ.NIC Publications series of books of the Czech national domain administrator. The authors of more than a hundred page publication are the writers of the popular TV series How to Use the Internet led by Jiří Vaněk. The pictures in the book are authored by the cartoonist Aneta Biskupová, who as an employee of CZ.NIC focuses primarily on the Tablexia project. An electronic version of the book, as well as 11 other books published by CZ.NIC Publications, is available for free download at http://knihy.nic.cz. Those who prefer physical books can order the How to Use the Internet comic book for CZK 259, or, when ordered over IPv6, for CZK 209.

“Together with the Czech Television, the CZ.NIC Association has prepared the educational series How to Use the Internet since 2012. The aim of the project is to introduce the largest possible number of viewers to the world of the Internet and point out to both the good things they can expect from it, and to what they should be careful about. Last year we decided, with regard to the potential and popularity of the How to Use the Internet, to expand it with a comic book, which is aimed primarily at younger Internet users. The new How to Use the Internet book complements other sub-projects of the same name, which are the already mentioned educational videos, intended primarily for general Internet users, and worksheets designed especially for schools and teachers. They can take advantage of the treated topics in the classroom,” said Ondřej Filip, the CEO of CZ.NIC.
