Today, mojeID service has welcomed its 400,000th user

The service has been in operation since the autumn of 2010; the last 100 thousand accounts were registered since the end of this January.

The mojeID service, which is used for logging into various Internet services and makes it possible to keep user information in a single safe place and up-to-date, today acquired its 400,000th user. The service has been in operation since the autumn of 2010; the last 100 thousand accounts were registered since the end of this January. MojeID is operated by CZ.NIC, the administrator of the Czech national domain, and it is completely free of charge.

“For those interested in the mojeID service, we have recently prepared a number of innovations. One of them is a possibility to create your own online business card with a unique address username.mojeid.cz. Together with the PIN3 code, we also send a special card that can serve not only as a physical business card with a QR code, but also as a so-called emergency card,” explains Ondřej Filip, CEO of the CZ.NIC Association. “We also increased the number of spots where users can validate their mojeID account. The most recently added are Prague 22 (Uhříněves) Town Hall and Ostrava City Library.”

Services that have recently implemented mojeID include e.g. Heuréka.cz, Primát.cz and Knihcentrum.cz.
