If the situation allows, the third community meeting of The Czech and Slovak network Operators (CSNOG2020) will take on September 8 and 9 in Brno. The aim of this two day event is not just to present news and current trends in the field of Internet networks and their administration, but also to discuss and share the know-how that will lead to the development of this industry in both countries. The main organizers of the event are CZ.NIC, NIX.CZ and CESNET.

In 2018, the CSNOG (Czech and Slovak Network Operators Group) community meeting joined the ranks of similar events taking place in various countries and regions all over the world. These are mostly non-commercial expert meetings where ISPs, CDN providers, hosting companies, network administrators, domain name registrars and people interested in Internet networks and technologies meet and hold public discussions.

“We strongly believe that the long planned meeting of the network specialists CSNOG 2020 will take place in September. Therefore, we have decided to start preparing it despite the ongoing emergency state. After announcing the date and venue, we would like to launch the event website and announce Call for Papers by the end of the month. We hope to see a number of interesting contributions from Czech and Slovak network specialists and colleagues from abroad,” explains Sergey Myasoedov, who is in charge of the CSNOG 2020 program part.

The programs of the past two years consisted of, among other things, topics related to the domain name system, Internet peering at the peering node level, new tools in network security or telecommunications. Individual presentations and their video recordings are available on the CSNOG 2018 and CSNOG 2019 meetings websites.

Up-to-date information will be gradually published by the organizers on the community websites and on the social networks Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN.
