Prague, 9 May – Since April, the CZ.NIC Association has been cooperating with Fokus Praha, an organisation supporting people who have experienced mental illness. Fokus Praha is trying to help its clients cope with life and find opportunities for self-fulfilment in society. The objective of the cooperation is to practice job skills in a real work environment.
“Our offices are visited by two clients of Fokus Praha. As our part of the collaboration, we created training jobs for them. One of the clients was with us for two months, the other for three. Their jobs mostly entail administrative tasks; in the future, we expect them to be able to cooperate for example with their colleagues from customer support or marketing,” says CZ.NIC Association Chief Operating Officer Martin Peterka.
“We are happy to have established cooperation with such an accommodating partner as CZ.NIC. With the support of a Fokus Praha job consultant, our clients can practice the skills they need to succeed on the open labour market in a regular work environment. Even though the work is performed free of charge, our clients are very interested in this type of training,” says Kateřina Szczepaniková, the head of the Employment Support Programme Centre of Fokus Praha.
