The Cyber Europe 2016 Exercise Took Place Under the Auspices of CZ.NIC
Every two years, the European agency ENISA organizes a pan-European cyber exercise Cyber Europe.
CZ.NIC Publications released another book on open source
[Press Release] Twelve case studies in which the authors describe methods and tricks to improve the performance of open source applications, this is what readers can now find in the book published under a Creative Commons license by the Czech national domain administrator, the CZ.NIC Association. The main editor of the nearly 300 page publication The Performance of Open Source Applications is a Canadian Tavish Armstrong. The electronic version of the book, as well as 12 other releases of CZ.NIC Publications, is available for free download at http://knihy.nic.cz. Argentina introduced the Czech system FRED for the administration of its internet domains
[Press release] The Argentinian national domain registry will use the Czech registration system FRED (Free Registry for ENUM and Domains) for the administration of its internet domains with the .AR extension. NIC Argentina currently administers around 530,000 domains and has used FRED for their administration since the beginning of July 2016.
The Free Internet initiative has started, support from both users and enterprises is welcome
Major Internet organizations have signed the initiative, which aims to draw attention to the consequences that will be brought by the approval of the Gambling Act — censorship and limited access to the Internet. The initiative The Censor is Coming responds to the government bill on gambling, which will authorize officials of the Ministry of Finance to determine which websites are to be blocked by Internet service providers. The law has already passed the Chamber of Deputies and on May 25 it will be voted by the Senate.
Czechs will pay for censorship, senators are going to raise the price of Internet access
[Press Release] A significant increase in Internet connection prices for end users of the Czech Republic may occur next year, if the government bill on gambling passes the Senate.
The Internet and Technology Conference Mostly Focuses on Security Issues

Changes in Conditions of domain name registration and the mojeID service
Mid-May will bring changes to the Conditions of registration of .cz domain names and ENUM domain names as well as Conditions of the mojeID service for end users. The changes respond to the amendment on Consumer Protection.
