How to become a registrar?
Registrar is a subject, which can approach the Central Registry in a defined way and can order demands for changes of records kept in the Central Registry. Registrar administer this way domains for end users.
Requirements
Only legal entities complying with the following specifications may act as Registrar:
- to have a registred offices in some of the member states of the European Union
- or to have a registred offices in a state covered by the European Economic Area
- or in a member state of the European Free Trade Association
- or is an accredited Registrar of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers
The registrar must fulfil also other conditions:
- The Registrar’s assets may not be subject to any bankruptcy proceedings; no bankruptcy or settlement proceedings may be instituted against the Registrar; no petition in bankruptcy may be lodged due to a lack of assets, and the Registrar may not undergo any winding-up proceedings.
- The Registrar’s information system must communicate with the Central Register through the mediation of a communication protocol compliant with the Communication rules.
- The Registrar must communicate a contact telephone number accessible in a 24/7/365 mode to the CZ.NIC association for the purpose of dealing with technical and operating problems.

Once you go through the documents, fill in the information about your company, print it twice including all appendixes and then sign the Domain Registration Cooperation Contract.
Join to the contract - the Extract from the Commercial Register or another similar register in which the applicant is registered and a statutory declaration substantiating that the Registrar’s assets may not be subject to any bankruptcy proceedings; no bankruptcy or settlement proceedings may be instituted against the Registrar; no petition in bankruptcy may be lodged due to a lack of assets, and the Registrar may not undergo any winding-up proceedings. Unless specified otherwise, the documents must be no older than three months at the time of submission.
Note: If the provided documents contain any document in other than czech, slovak or english language, there must be certified translation included as well.Once all is ready, send it all in two executions to the Association CZ.NIC, z.s.p.o., Americká 23, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic.
The association CZ.NIC, z.s.p.o. will return a signed contract and will ask you to communicate IP adresses, where you will access to the Central Registry from. In the same time you will be sent access code (login/password), which you will use to authorize the entry.
By coming to this point the registration is successfully finished and you have become the Registrar.
