39 per cent of Czech organisations do not monitor the number of visitors to their web pages

Prague, 18 October – Even though internet presentations have become a commonplace element of company marketing, only 61 per cent of Czech organisations are interested in the number of visitors they have, according to a survey conducted for the CZ.NIC Association by the Markent company. This is a long-term trend; survey results in 2006 and 2008 showed very similar results.
“Another surprising fact is that the number of visitors is most carefully monitored by state administration, education and healthcare bodies, as well as non-profit organisations,”says Pavel Tůma, the Marketing Director of CZ.NIC.
Data on domains from which Czech internet company presentations are being accessed have also been stagnating for a long time. 79 per cent are visited from the .CZ domain; these are typically the sites of companies with less than 20 employees, public government, education and healthcare bodies and non-profit organisations. From the other domains, the most frequently visited sites are those belonging to financial institutions, industrial enterprises and organisations with at least partial foreign ownership.
