Conditions of membership in the CZ.NIC association are defined in Chapter II of the Association Statutes. Any legal entity based in the area of an EU member country or with an organizational unit in the area of an EU member country meeting general conditions defined in the Statutes (such as agreement with the Statutes and the Founding Contract, ownership of at least one .CZ domain name, payment of a member entry fee etc.) can become a member of the association. An applicant meeting the general membership conditions becomes – after formal being formally approved by the managing board of the association – a member of the Chamber of Domain Name Holders. Membership in the Chamber of ISPs or the Chamber of Registrars is subject to compliance with special conditions, also defined by the Statutes. Every association member can be a member of a single chamber only.

A company becoming a member receives in particular the following benefits:

• possibility to actively affect and take part in the .CZ national domain administration and ENUM domain administration,
• right to nominate candidates for executive bodies of the association,
• possibility to take part in thematic work groups and research projects dedicated to new technologies,
